Crissi Blake, RN, IBCLC, Co-owner Crissi is a Registered Nurse and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She spent her early career days working in Occupational Therapy with a focus on Pediatric Feeding. She has been providing Post-partum and newborn care to Tucson families for almost a decade. Combining her education and skill set, Crissi brings a unique approach to helping Moms and babies address their breastfeeding needs. She is especially passionate about assisting with more medically complex breastfeeding issues including babies born with special needs, prematurity, and issues related to anatomical differences such as Tongue Tie/Lip Tie or Cleft Lip and Palate. Over the years Crissi has had the pleasure of being invited to present to many members of the medical community on the subject of Breastfeeding. She has a strong desire to educate the community to better serve Tucson families. When she isn’t working to help families with new babies, she loves to spend time outdoors with her husband and her two children.
Ceit Blue, BS, IBCLC, CCCE Ceit Blue is a bilingual native Tucsonan and University of Arizona alumna. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in 2003, with a thematic minor in Brazilian Portuguese. She is a CAPPA Certified Childbirth Educator and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Ceit has worked in the field of Child and Maternal Services since 2011, specializing in pregnancy wellness, early childhood development, infant feeding, and childbirth education. Prior to joining the Milk and Honey team, Ceit served as Lead Case Manager, Childbirth Educator and Lactation Consultant for a youth-focused non-profit organization, with an emphasis on neurological development and high-risk clientele. Her work included published program and curriculum development, involving a five-year research project to investigate prevention of subsequent unplanned pregnancies in the adolescent populations of Pima, Maricopa, and Yavapai counties. Ceit has traveled the state of Arizona providing professional development to those working with pregnant and parenting teens. In 2016, she became a Capacitar Wellness Protocols Practitioner for Catalina Rotary’s Wellness Education for Children Project, enabling her to facilitate perinatal trauma healing in the Tucson Community. Ceit’s passion for assisting families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum periods continues to grow, with particular regard to the breastfeeding dyad. Her time outside of work is spent enjoying precious family time, getting outdoors and exercising.
Liz Abrams, RD, CSP, IBCLCLiz is a Tucson native. She was born and raised as an Arizona Wildcat, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Arizona in 2006. She completed her dietetic internship at Banner – UMC Tucson in 2007. She has been a registered dietitian (RD) for 10.5 years, specializing in neonatal nutrition in the NICU. She has been a board certified specialist in pediatric nutrition (CSP) for 7 years and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2017. Liz enjoys spending her free time with her family; husband, Dustin, and two daughters, Lily and Luna. She will neither confirm nor deny being a crazy cat lady but will openly declare her love for Harry Potter.
Alice Morkert, Billing Manager Alice has lived in Tucson nearly her whole life, She has three amazing grown children – Lindsey, Grace, and Steven, who she could not be more proud of. She also has a 2 year-oldgolden retriever named Peyton, who is very naughty but brings her great joy at the same time. She loves the ocean, being outdoors, hiking, and exercising. She has worked with insurance billing for many years, and is very grateful to part of this awesome community , surrounded by strong, beautiful women.

Nina Isaac, CCC-SLP, IBCLC, Co-owner Nina is a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (Spanish / English), and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, specializing in infant feeding and swallowing with newborns, infants, and toddlers. Nina is passionate about helping infants whose feeding is impacted by prematurity, neurological deficits, anatomical issues (including tongue-tie and cleft lip and palate), as well as those babies who just got off to a difficult start. She has taught and lectured throughout Arizona to parents, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, lactation consultants, and nurses and physicians on topics such as tongue-tie, infant feeding, swallowing, breastfeeding, and transitioning to solids. Nina also had the opportunity to teach in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE. She enjoys raising her three daughters, and along with her husband they love spending time as a family hiking, cycling, camping, and enjoying the “little” moments that life has to offer.
Jennie L Jacob, MSPT, CNT, DCS, NTMTC Jennie graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, MO with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. She has been a pediatric physical therapist since 2000, working across all areas including early intervention, home health, inpatient acute care, and outpatient developmental pediatrics. Since 2007, Jennie has specialized in working with the NICU population. In addition, she continues to see patients in a developmental follow up clinic that evaluates NICU graduate patients from hospital discharge through the age of 3. She is also a Certified Neonatal Therapist, a Developmental Care Specialist, and is certified in Neonatal Touch and Massage. Jennie continues her professional endeavors as an inaugural member of the Neonatal Therapist National Certification Board (2014-2017). She has been a clinical faculty member for The University of Arizona LEND program since 2014. Jennie is also a guest lecturer for a national neonatal therapist mentoring program called Ignite. She provides lectures on a variety of topics nationally and has presented outcome data from the Developmental Follow Up Clinic at international conferences. Jennie enjoys working at Milk and Honey because she gets to play with babies, which is the best job ever. Milk and Honey feels like home to her and she hopes to recreate that feeling for her clients. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and reading.
Claire Furnival, MS, CCC-SLP, IBCLC is a Speech-Language Pathologist and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She graduated with her Master’s in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Kentucky in 2015. Claire and her husband are both from Kentucky, but moved to Tucson two years ago. Claire’s husband Alex serves in the US Air Force and is stationed here at Davis Monthan AFB. Claire has worked with adults in acute care settings, as well as children with various language disorders through Speech Therapy. She has discovered a new passion in pediatric and infant feeding through the help of Milk and Honey. Claire enjoys being a part of a team who plays a role in the encouragement of new moms during their breastfeeding journey. Claire is looking forward to learning and growing in the path of infant feeding and is so happy to be a part of the Milk and Honey family! Outside of work, Claire enjoys yoga, traveling, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Kelli Lehrling, Office Coordinator Kelli has lived in Tucson nearly her whole life, and is a graduate of the University of Arizona (Bear Down!). She has worked with several small, family owned businesses over the years. She absolutely loves being part of growing local businesses here in Tucson. She has two children (both of whom she nursed) and a menagerie pets, all of whom keep her on her toes. She loves (like, LOVES) basketball, learning new things, and being part of the Milk and Honey family.
